Stock classes receive major boost from VW Spares.

As was once said in reference to the Drag Day. " Forget about the little guys (and gals) then you may as well close the doors.

Never was a truer word spoken and that has always been our mantra. Much as we love to see the quickest machinery doing battle on the tarmac, its often easy to forget where we all started. For most of us our path into drag racing started with more humble beginnings.

Each year we have strived to enthuse and reward those people who don't have the quickest car out there and neither the funds or desire to build their car into a weekend warrior or dedicated race car.

The stock classes have always been a staple of the event, giving these folks the same enthusiasm as the big guns has always been paramount. When you have a field of racers from the lower leagues to the very top of the sport all treated equally and welcomed with open arms, you have a recipe for not only a great event, but more importantly a fantastic atmosphere.

This year is no exception, the stock classes have been yet again backed by one of our continually loyal supporters.

John White at VW Spares contacted the team to say he would be delighted to sponsor the class this year, an offer we are extremely delighted to receive.

There is a "substantial" cash prize or "in store" equivalent on offer to the quickest stock aircooled drivers out there. We will update you with the class regs but we can be pretty certain it will be split category, up to 1300cc and 1600cc respectively.
